BETWEEN WINNICOTT and LACAN: Working
with Individuals and Couples
Deborah Anna Luepnitz, Ph.D., is on the Clinical Faculty of the Dept of
Psychiatry at the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine. She is the
author of The Family Interpreted: Psychoanalysis, Feminism, and Family Therapy
(Basic Books, 1992) and Schopenhauer’s Porcupines (2002) which has been
translated into six languages. Dr. Luepnitz is one of the few Americans to have
had both a Middle Group and a Lacanian personal analysis. She has worked for
many years to foster a dialogue between the French and Anglo-American
traditions. She was a contributing author to the Cambridge Companion to Lacan.
Her article Thinking in the Space between Winnicott and Lacan was published in
the International Journal of Psychoanalysis in 2009. Six years ago, Dr. Luepnitz
launched I.F.A. (Insight For All) a group of analysts who work pro bono with
formerly homeless adults now living at Philadelphia's Project H.O.M.E. Proceeds
from her books go to Project H.O.M.E.

The RED BOOK OF CG JUNG: His Inner World & His Understanding of the
Psyche
Erminia Scarcella, MD, is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst in private
practice in Washington DC. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor of George
Washington Medical University, President of JSW [ Jung Society of Washington
DC], and Designated Physician of the Embassy of Italy, where she is the founder
of the Embassy Disaster Preparedness Program. Dr. Scarcella specialized in
Neurology and Psychiatry in the State University in Rome, Italy. Also in Rome,
she attended the Jungian Institute and worked in a psychiatric hospital before
coming to the United States, where she graduated from a USA residency program in
psychiatry in 1985. She has worked full time at Veterans Administrative Hospital
until 1990 and at Walter Reed Army Medical Center until 1995. She has had her
private practice from 1991 to present.

BECOMING HUMAN; Infant Observation of an
In-Vitro Baby Utilizing the Tavistock Method
Brian Feldman, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist, child, adolescent
and adult Jungian psychoanalyst in Palo Alto, California, and an infant
observation (Tavistock model) seminar leader. He is on the training faculties of
the Jung Institute of San Francisco and the Inter-regional Society of Jungian
Analysts. He is a member of the International Group of Infant Observation
Trainers, and lectures and publishes in the areas of infant observation, and
child/adolescent and adult analysis in the U.S., Latin America and Europe. He
trained as a clinical psychologist at the University of California at Berkeley
and as an analyst at the Jung Institute of San Francisco and with Michael
Fordham at the Society of Analytical Psychology in London. He has served as
chief of clinical psychology in the Department of Child Psychiatry at Stanford
Medical Center and has been a visiting scholar at the University of Campinas,
Department of Psychiatry, Sao Paulo, Brazil; and at the Russian Academy of
Science, Institute of Psychology, Moscow.

FORGIVENESS, The Unforgivable and Redemption: A Clinical Perspective
Michael Conforti, PhD, is a Jungian Analyst, founder and director of
the Assisi Institute. He has been a faculty member at the CGJung
Institute-Boston and the CGJung Foundation of New York and Antioch New England.
A pioneer in the field of matter-psych studies, he is investigating archetypal
fields and the relationship between Jungian psychology and the New Sciences. He
has presented to a wide range of national and international audiences, including
the CGJung Institute- Zurich and Jungian organizations in Venezuela, Denmark,
Italy and Canada. He is the author Threshold Experience: the Archetype of
Beginning and Field, Form and Fate: Patterns in Mind, Nature and Psyche. His
articles have appeared in Psychology Perspective, San Francisco Jung Library
Journal, Roundtable Press, World Future: the Journal of General Evolution, and
Spring. Dr. Conforti maintains a private practice in Vermont, where he serves as
a state-appointed advisor to the Board of Psychoanalysts. A consultant to
businesses, government institutions, and the film industry, he recently served
as script consultant on the film, Pride and Glory. He has applied field theory
to the understanding and resolution of international border disputes and was
selected by the Club of Budapest and University of Potsdam to be part of an
international team to examine the role of informational fields. He is a
recipient of the Vision Award from the Association for the Advancement of
Psychoanalysts.

MEMORY and the Remembrance of Things Past
Margery Quackenbush, PHD, is the Executive Director of the National
Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis (NAAP). She is a graduate of
the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies and recipient of the Miriam Berkman
Spotnitz Award for Scholarly Excellence. In 2004, she received the first
Outstanding Professional Service Award for the American board for Accrditation
in Psycholanalysis. She is the author of Recent Research on Memory by Dr. Kandel,
Recent Brain Experiments on Memory, and Recent Research on Dreams and Memory; a
final project presented to the Directors of international University for
Graduate Studies. She has Taught courses on Neuroscience and Psychoanalysis,
been a panelist on Emotional Memory at the Fairlawn Public Library, conducted
workshops on The Humor Cure in Reversing Depression, and The Death of the
Mother/Analyst. Dr. Quackenbush maintains a private practice in NYC.
